desktop – The Windows 95/98/XP background and screen.

 

format – the process of changing the appearance of a document. It may include changing the appearance of the font, applying borders, bullets, or changing the color of the text.

 

CPU – The central processing unit of a computer system, it controls the system and processes all the information that goes through the machine.

 

acceptable use policy – a binding agreement signed by the student user and by the parent. The policy explains the rules of using the Internet and school computers.
