1. Copy the vocabulary terms and definitions.
desktop – The Windows 95/98/XP background and screen.
format – the process of changing the appearance of a document. It may include changing the appearance of the font, applying borders, bullets, or changing the color of the text.
CPU – The central processing unit of a computer system, it controls the system and processes all the information that goes through the machine.
acceptable use policy – a binding agreement signed by the student user and by the parent. The policy explains the rules of using the Internet and school computers.

to select and format left-click in front of the word or phrase and drag the mouse across to the end of the word or phrase and release the mouse. Select the format button you desire.
