Welcome Back!!!!  We would like to take this time to welcome back all of our students and parents for the 2007-2008 school year.  This is going to be a wonderful and exciting year for your child.

We would like to share some of our classroom procedures and our focus for this school year.  Our focus will be on literacy.  We encourage you to allow plenty of time for your child to read to you and for you to read to them.  As our children develop into good readers it is important that we model to them what good readers do.  We are positive that we will have your support on our journey to creating independent thinkers.

Every Friday your child will bring home a weekly progress report starting Sept. 14^th.   On this sheet you will find information about your child’s progress behaviorally and academically.  Reminders and any classroom news will also be posted on this report.  At the bottom of this sheet there will be a space for you to sign showing that you have seen and discussed this information with your child.  Please sign and return this sheet on the following Monday.

Your child will have homework every night.  Incomplete homework will be noted on the progress report and will be reflected in your child’s grades.  We feel very confident that with your help and cooperation your child will have a positive and rewarding year.  If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to call us (535-7860), come in and see us, or send a note by your child.
