Welcome and Welcome Back Ashburn Students and Parents!

IMPORTANT THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW!

Pre-Registration:  Pre-registration is on-going throughout the summer.  All students are to have updated registration information on file for the upcoming school year.

Re-Enrollment:  If your child is returning to Ashburn Community Elementary School your child will need to re-register for the upcoming (2007-08) school year.  The following documentation is needed for student re-enrolling:

·        Student Social Security Number

·        Proof of Current Address– Includes but not limited to:       

*Illinois Driver License                              *State Identification Card            

*Employee Identification                          *Current Utility Bill            

*Deed                                                             *Mediplan/Medicaid

*Voter Registration Card                          *Court Documents                        

*Ill. State Aid Check                                   *Security Check

New Student Registration:  If your child/children are registering at Ashburn Community Elementary School for the first time the following information is need to complete the registration process.

*Student Transfer Papers                              *Student Social Security No.

*Original Birth Certificate                               *Certificate of Health Examination

*Proof of Current Address – See above for acceptable proof of address.

*Copy of Special Education Records (if applicable)

Student Fees:  Student fees are $40.00 per child.  Discounted fee if there are 3 or more children attending Ashburn. 

New Student Orientation:  New Student Orientation will be held on Friday August 31st from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

First Day of School:  September 4, 2007  at 9:00 a.m.

Uniforms:      Kindergarten – 8^th – Khaki Bottoms (pants, skirts, skorts, or knee-length shorts) and White Tops (tops must have collars) Shoes (black or brown)

*Pants are to be worn with a belt and shirt tucked in.

*Gym Shoes may only be worn on gym days.

Gym Uniforms:  Gym uniforms consist of black bottoms (shorts or sweat pants), orange tops (t-shirts or sweat shirts), and gym shoes.  Gym uniforms are available for purchase at:

Medical:  Physical exams forms must be completed prior to the first day of school for all Kindergarteners and 5^th graders.  Students not in compliance may be excluded from classes until all medical forms are turned in.

Dental Exams:  New this year - Dental forms must be completed for grades Kindergarten, 2^nd, and 6^th
